I wanted to adjust my home address in Google Maps web application, but for my big surprise I did not any place to do it.
After search found that solution is to
1. Open Google Maps and make sure you’re signed in.
2. Type “home” or “work” into the search box.
3. Next to the search result that appears below the search box, click Set location.
4. Type in your home or work address, then press Enter.
But no luck – did not have “Set location” anywhere.
After more searching found this :
Note: Web History must be enabled for using “home” and “work” in search and directions.
So I went to https://history.google.com/history
and indeed it was disabled.
Enabled it but did not see any change in Google Maps application. But as you can see on screenshot Home and Work can be managed on same History screen ( by clicking on corresponding address line ) and it did the trick!
Afterwards I did read Google documentation more carefully and found:
Note: If you’re using Maps in Lite mode, you won’t be able to set your home and work.
Same document also has [Show Me How] button what will take you directly to rights place for setting Home and Work addresses.
