If you like to give your old computer with Windows 10 to a new owner, then you should remove all your personal data. Simplest way for it is using Windows Reset feature. Be sure that you make backup of all files and information you want to keep!
To reset Windows 10, follow these steps:
Go to Start
Click on Settings
Select Update & Security
Choose Recovery from the left-side menu
Click on “Get started” under “Reset this PC”
Choose “Keep my files” or “Remove everything” (In case giving PC away use Remove. Remember to back up your own data first!)
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset process.
After reset, new Windows install will start.
When initial installation has finished, you might find yourself in a situation where you are asked to log in with the Microsoft account:
What if you want to create some default local user, log in and see that Windows is working properly, drivers are installed and latest updates applied? There are no visible ways on screen to choose different login options. The trick is to disconnect the computer from the internet. After network cable is removed of Wi-Fi disconnected, use back button in top of the screen. Now installation will take you to local user creation screen:
PS! If you see the “Something went wrong” error message, click Skip to skip the account creation step.
